Popular Telugu film actors Pawan Kalyan and Ram Charan Teja have come
forward to make donations to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for the
victims of cyclone Hudhud which battered Andhra Pradesh coast Sunday.
Pawan Kalyan announced Rs.50 lakh for the fund and said he would soon visit the cyclone-hit areas.
Pawan Kalyan, who floated political party Jana Sena before elections in April this year, is the younger brother of superstar and Congress leader K. Chiranjeevi.
Chiranjeevi's actor son Ram Charan Teja also announced Rs.10 lakh for the relief fund. He told reporters that he will also send food, medicines and other relief material to the affected areas.
Ram Charan appealed to fans of Chiranjeevi to actively participate in relief work.
Another young actor, Manchu Manoj, announced that he is leaving for Visakhapatnam to participate in relief work. He appealed to people to celebrate Diwali with simplicity and donate the saved money towards relief work.
