Dhanush's Anegan faces the ire of critics

Tollywood superstar and a big name in Bollywood now - Dhanush the son-in-law of legendary actor Rajinikanth is going through a bad phase in his Tollywood career.

Dhanush who weaved magic with his performance in the latest Bollywood flick - Shamitabh starring Amitabh Bachchan has failed to impress his fans with his latest Tamil flick - Anegan.

According to critics, the film revolves around the same old formula of showing the difference between the creamy layer of the society and poor class. KV Anand's Anegan tries to go beyond this divide. The film which is set the 1960's era is based on the much tried and tested formula of reincarnation and the paranormal. Dhanush is seen playing triple role in the film. He is playing three different men living in three different eras.

Despite his triple role in the film, Dhanush is being criticised for looking disinterested in the film, he doesn't seem to be interested in changing his style in his three roles. Dhanush is also being criticised for copying the mannerism of his father-in-law Rajinikanth. Apart from the passé performances the film also sags at many levels, such as the sets and cinematography. All in all an unimpressive screen presence kills the mood of the film.

Along with Dhanush the film also stars Karthik, Amyra Dastur, Aishwarya, Devan Jagan, Ashish Vidyarthi, Atul Kulkarni.

We hope Dhanush revives his Tollywood career soon with a super duper hit.
