Delhi’s new Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal sharing screen space with India’s most controversial babe Mallika Sherawat. Well, it would have been fun had Kejriwal said yes to KC Bokadia’s political drama Dirty Politics. Bokadia wanted Arvind Kejriwal to play the protagonist in his controversial film which is slated to release on March 6. But the latter said no to Dirty Politics due to time constraints. This happened after social activist-turned-politician Kejriwal resigned from the post of Delhi Chief Minister last year. Finally, veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah ended up bagging the role.
While talking to a leading tabloid, the producer-director of Mallika starrer confirmed this piece of information and said, “Yes, we had offered a role to Mr Kejriwal, but he could not allot dates to us. He congratulated us for the project, though. So, we approached Naseeruddin Shah. The film is inspired by him.”
Apart from Naseeruddin Shah and Mallika Sherawat, KC Bokadia’s upcoming directorial venture also stars Jackie Shroff, Om Puri and Anupam Kher in important roles.
