After making a name for her in Bhojpuri movies, actress Akshara Singh is soon to
make her television debut, having signed Raakesh Paswan’s upcoming show ‘Service
Wali Bahu’. The show, which depicts the prevalent evils of dowry system in the
society, will have Akshara playing a pivotal character in her maiden project.
Akshara essays the character of sister-in-law of the female protagonist Kratika
Sengar. While Kratika will be shown hailing from a middle class family, Akshara
will belong to a rich and affluent family having brought in huge dowry with her.
Akshara’s character is that of a strong headed but short tempered woman, giving
back tit for tat if things do not move her way.
According to Akshara, her role is not all negative shaded as she will be shown
to be good with people who are good with her. As far as her onscreen in-laws are
concerned, being greedy, Akshara will put them in their place time and again. As
the show ‘Service Wali Bahu’ is based against the backdrop of Patna city,
Akshara had no problems in getting her dialect right as she herself hails from
the city.
