Katrina Kaif was applauded for her performance
in Prakash Jha’s “Raajneeti” and the actress is all set to reprise her
role for a sequel to the 2010 movie. In an interview the director
confirmed that Katrina will be a part of “Raajneeti 2”.
In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, when Jha was asked if Katrina Kaif will topline the cast and if Ajay Devgn and Ranbir Kapoor will feature in the sequel, he said, “Ajay's character, like Manoj Bajpai's and Arjun Rampal's is dead. I don't know if Ranbir's character will return. Katrina's Indu is now the Chief Minister and Raajneeti 2 will start with her. Then we'll have other family members coming in.”
“Raajneeti”, a political thriller, also featured Arjun Rampal and Nana Patekar. The movie was initially denied a certificate as the Censor Board of India thought that Katrina’s character was inspired by Sonia Gandhi.
